Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery

The Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, located 7 miles north of Little Falls, was opened in June of 1994. The cemetery was originally established through the efforts of many individuals and veteran organizations. Today the cemetery is operated by the State of Minnesota through the Minnesota Dept. of Veterans Affairs and is now the final resting place for over 1500 veterans and their eligible family members.

The Veterans Cemetery follows the same eligibility requirements as the National Cemetery Administration. If a veteran is eligible to be buried in a national cemetery, he/she is also eligible to be buried in the this Veterans Cemetery. To be eligible for burial, a veteran must have received an other than dishonorable discharge from active military service. Members of the National Guard and Reservists who have served at least 20 years are also eligible for burial. The spouse and dependent children of an eligible veteran are also eligible for burial.

The cemetery office is open Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 4:30 PM. Visitors may visit the cemetery grounds during daylight hours, seven days a week.
