Green Prairie Fish Lake is a great spring, crappie and sunfish lake. It’s a good summer lake for bass, northern pike and even some walleye. It’s a good ice fishing lake for pike and panfish. A simple crawler or minnow is what you need. It also has a nice beach and picnic area.
Pierz Fish Lake has great spring crappie fishing, a very popular spot in the sloughs and culverts. While using a small crappie minnow. During the summer it’s a great bass lake.
Lake Alexander is a very popular lake that is a little something for everyone. It’s a lake that has good fishing year long. With decent musky fishing for any sportsmen. Good walleye bite day or night. Using Rapalas in daylight and minnows at night. It’s a decent lake for catching crappies, sunfish, large and smallmouth bass.
Fish Trap is a lake good for fishing crappies especially late ice into open water season. It’s good for fishing musky, pike, walleye and panfish year-round.
The Mississippi River in Little Falls is a great fishery. At the dam, you can catch a nice selection of fish that includes walleye, pike, muskie, perch, crappie, sunfish, and catfish. In the Fall, people travel from great distances for trophy-size smallmouth bass. A wall mounter can be caught using a sucker minnow or spinner even soft plastics produce impressive size bass.
Fish: Crappies, Muskies, walleye, sunfish, perch, northern pike, smallmouth and largemouth bass, bull heads and rock bass are the most common.
Bait: Sucker minnows, crappie minnows, fatheads, shiner, rainbows, night crawlers, earthworms, nitro worms, leeches and wax worms are used to catch fish.
Other Lakes in the area: Shamineau, Crookneck, Sullivan, Platte, and Sebie.
Many of the lakes are family fun lakes used for recreation like swimming, tubing, jet skiing and water skiing.
