Fall Fun and Festivities in Little Falls, MN

Posted in: Blog

Welcome to October!

Fall is officially here and you know what that means. It’s time to bundle up in our cozy sweaters and thick flannels as the summer heat gives way to the fall chill. During this time of year, people are always looking for fun ways to enjoy the fall season and we have lots of recommendations in and around the Little Falls area such as pumpkin patches, breweries, the best places to watch the leaves change, and other fun area events.

Triple S Pumpkins LLC

The first thing that comes to mind in October are pumpkin patches. What’s more fun than getting to rush out into the patch to find the perfect pumpkin to take home, carve, and decorate your homes with? One pumpkin patch close to Little Falls, MN is Triple S Pumpkins LLC in Royalton, MN. Here, not only will you find over 50 varieties of pumpkins, but you can also purchase squash, gourds, corn shocks, straw bales, and varying crafts. This farm is complete with a corn walk, a playground for the kids, a petting zoo, the Snack Shack, and a swing trail through the woods leading to the pumpkin patch. Triple S Pumpkins LLC is open Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through October 30th. There are no admission or parking costs.

Starry Eyed Brewing Company

After running through the pumpkin patch, testing out the swings on the swing trail, and weaving through the corn walk, you may be in need of a refreshment (or a few) and what better place to stop than a brewery? Starry Eyed Brewing Company in Little Falls, MN is the perfect stop to rehydrate during the fall season. They have a wide selection of drinks including beers, ciders, seltzers, and many more! Order a pint of your favorite drink or order a flight to test a few. They also have non alcoholic choices, and they now serve pizza as well. Sit inside to keep warm or move outdoors where you can play cornhole and warm up by the fire. Starry Eyed Brewing Company is fun for the family and pet friendly.

Maple Island Park

Known for many of its amazing features such as the gazebo, well-groomed pathways, and view of the Mississippi, Maple Island Park is also one of the best places to watch the leaves change color in the fall. The trees, famous for those changes and also directly named, are the park’s maple trees. You won’t want to miss an opportunity to see the bright, blooming reds, oranges, and yellows as the maple trees transition. Take a walk through the park to admire the fall colors and keep an eye out for the Linden Hill mansions. The Musser home (white) can be seen at the south end of the park.

BooFest

Another great location where you can watch the leaves change color is at Pine Grove Zoo and, if you stop in on Saturday, October 22nd, 2022 you can also attend the zoo’s BooFest! This event is fun for all ages with local businesses and organizations handing out candy and a wide range of fun games and activities. Show off your favorite costume and play a quick round of mini golf with the 3-hole inflatable mini golf course or try your hand at the gigantic inflatable corn hole. Explore the 58-foot adventure crawl or the many jump houses, and, for older kids and adults, be sure to check out the inflatable obstacle courses. While you’re enjoying the many fun activities at the event, you can also walk around and say hi to the animals. This event starts at 2 p.m. and goes until 5 p.m. Tickets are $7 per person and can be purchased in advance here.
