Bilingual Liturgy

The Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls invite the public to attend a Bilingual Liturgy on Friday, March 12, 11 a.m., at Sacred Heart Chapel, St. Francis Convent, Little Falls. This bilingual liturgy will be in remembrance of Rutilio Grande of El Salvador. The Franciscan Sisters celebrate bilingual liturgies four times a year in keeping with their commitment to their Hispanic brothers and sisters. Prudence Johnson

All ages are invited to the Little Falls Carnegie Library on Saturday, March 13, 3:00 – 4:00 p.m., for a concert by veteran vocalist Prudence Johnson. Johnson is a Minnesota institution who has appeared frequently on “A Prairie Home Companion,” and recorded with many of Minnesota’s best musicians on swing and jazz CDs. She moves effortlessly from folk to ballads to jazz and will perform to her own accompaniment on various instruments, including ukulele and accordion. The attendance limit is 60.

Held at Crane Meadows, 19502 Iris Road, Little Falls. Participants may learn more about two avian species that use nest boxes, the bluebird and wood duck. They may assemble a nest box to take home and place on their property. There are numerous exhibits and resource-oriented groups / organizations who cosponsor this annual event. Evening Enrichment Gathering

The Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls invite young adults to an ongoing Evening Enrichment Gathering at the Franciscan Welcoming House located at 1600 11th Avenue South, St. Cloud.. This evening entitled, “I Am Thirsty,” will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2010, 6-8 p.m. Participants will explore an appreciation and conservation of the gift of water. All Enrichment Evenings will include dinner, followed by reflection and prayer. Young adults are welcome to join the sisters for shared faith, food and fun. The Franciscan Welcoming House provides opportunities for prayer, discernment, theological reflection and enrichment sessions focused on the Franciscan way of life. The Minnesota Zoo’s Zoomobile will be at the Little Falls Carnegie Library on Thursday, March 25, 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. The Zoomobile’s naturalists will present animals and explain their habits and habitats. This is a family show targeted at children ages 2-5.
